PRASHANT PINGE

An Eclectic Lens
Prashant Pinge is a two-time Crossword Book Award finalist who operates on a rather unusual frequency. With 15 books to his name, he has built a career out of refusing to stay in one lane—moving seamlessly from the playful wonder of children’s fiction to the "darkish" intrigue of YA fantasy, and the sharp wit of a romantic comedy.

His process is a mix of the mundane and the magnificent. Prashant draws from the sharp observations of daily life and filters them through a mind that constantly asks "what if?" This allows him to craft whimsical adventures for young readers one day, and pivot toward high-stakes heroics or contemporary "happily ever afters" the next.

Whether exploring the shadows of the paranormal or the intrigue of the past, his work is for those who believe that adventure should be wild and stories should have no ceiling. He currently plots his next move from Pune, fueled by far too much herbal tea and a constant curiosity for what lies just beyond the next horizon.

COMING SOON
Readers who enjoyed When I Was a Little Boy will be pleased to know that Prashant’s story does not end there. A new collection of adventures is on the way.

Titled When I Was Still a Little Boy, the upcoming book continues the light-hearted journey of young Prashant as he finds himself in more mischief, more small disasters, and many more moments that children and parents alike will instantly recognise.

While the first book followed Prashant through sandcastle ambitions, broken tennis rackets, and heroic attempts to avoid the dentist’s chair, the new stories pick up right where those memories left off. Growing up rarely happens in neat, sensible steps, and Prashant continues to learn life’s lessons in the only way he knows how, through curious experiments, enthusiastic plans, and the occasional spectacular mess.

Filled with gentle humour and everyday childhood adventures, When I Was Still a Little Boy promises another collection of stories that will bring smiles to young readers and a warm sense of nostalgia to parents.
